Ninety Minutes That Reset a Week
The spa floor was designed by our director after a decade in Reykjavík bathhouses — hot, cold, and the discipline to alternate properly. A slate card in your locker walks you through the sequence; attendants handle towels, water and the occasional pep talk at the plunge edge.
The Descent Circuit
A guided 90-minute sequence — sauna, steam, plunge, float — engineered to slow the nervous system measurably.
Treatment Menu
Twelve treatments across massage, skin and recovery — each therapist trained in-house, no agency rotation.
Evening Sessions
The floor dims to candlelight after 20:00 — the quietest two hours of the hotel's day, and the guests know it.
Private Buyouts
The entire circuit can be reserved for two hours — couples, small groups, or anyone wanting the plunge alone.
The Four Rituals, in Order
The sequence is fixed for a reason: each stage prepares the next. Skip the plunge and the float is merely pleasant — take it and the float becomes the thing people write reviews about.

A First Visit, Scripted
Arrive ninety minutes before any treatment — the circuit is the warmup act that makes the main event land.
Check in at the spa desk
Robe, slippers and a locker are waiting — the slate card inside maps the circuit's four stages.
Run the circuit
Heat, steam, cold, float — repeat the hot-to-cold loop once if the plunge felt good. Attendants time you gently.
Take your treatment
Your therapist collects you from the float deck — by then, the massage has half its work already done.
Finish slowly
Herbal tea and a heated recliner — nobody rushes the last twenty minutes. That is the point.

Good to know
The circuit is adults-only after 18:00; families use it till six. Pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions and recent surgery all require a quick chat with the desk first — they handle it daily.
